Criteria for Companies

Becoming a Semifinalist...

Eight companies are chosen based on the following criteria: 

Your company...

  1. Must be in business for 2 or more years.
  2. Must be located or willing to open a location in the Greater Peterborough County.
  3. Should have innovative ideas, products, services or business efficiencies that will create sustainable business growth.
  4. Should demonstrate potential impact for growth on other businesses within the Greater Peterborough Region.

The Business Pitch

Power Panel Judges are looking for:

  1. Potential economic impact on the Greater Peterborough Region
  2. Pitch content, delivery and style

The Power Panel

The Power Panel is made up of top strategic advisors who are industry-specific leaders within Ontario. They will be from academia, manufacturing, business associations, legal and financial.

Their role will be to question and score the semi-finalists at the ignite 100 Live Pitch Competition and select the three finalists.

The Advisory Committee is made of community leaders who have a strong understanding of business expansion and requirements that lead to success. The Advisory Committee are business experts in specific areas related to growth from legal and finance to innovation and international export.

They could be available for one on one coaching on a specific area of the contestant’s growth plan.
